Image Arts Foundation launches Computers2Schools.org
August 16, 2003, BUENA PARK -- Image Arts Foundation, the grassroots organization known for placing refurbished computers into southern California schools, has launched a new website to increase exposure regionally. The new website can be found at www.computers2schools.org.

Chris Pflanzer, Executive Director of the organization, says the organization is working with well-known computer recycler SoCal Recycling (www.socalrecyclers.com) to place more computers into schools and after-school programs.

"A lot of good equipment is either sitting in a closet somewhere or just gets thrown away, and that's a huge waste considering the technological needs of students today," Chris says. "Our goal is to divert some of these machines back into schools, where they can do more good and help our kids further their education."

The organization is currently planning regular e-waste recycling drives throughout southern California in 2004, starting with Torrance. The new website will promote those events as well as the core values of the organization.
